I am a Ph.D. Candidate at McGill University's Institute of Islamic Studies.  I presently reside in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where I have been conducting fieldwork. 

My present research focuses on the legal system of Saudi Arabia, particularly the institution of Hisbah.  My research interests include law, ethics, human rights, and Islamic history.

I also work as a Lecturer and Assistant to the Vice Rector of Development and Quality at King Saud University.
